Vegan Baking with Fruit
The vegan baking classes are very popular and this new class will focus on baking with fruit. It's been designed to show lots of different ways of replacing eggs in baking using flaxseed, fruit puree, aqua faba and the crazy cake method. It covers dairy free frosting and how to stop it splitting, cream cheese frosting and how to get it to hold, how to swap out wheat for a gluten free cake and how to decorate so your baking not only tastes but also looks amazing.
This is a four hour class in which you'll learn how to
- bake, stack and frost a mango cake
- make a dairy free mango frosting
- bake a gluten free spiced apple cake
- make a dairy free cream cheese frosting
- make and decorate a chocolate, peanut and banana loaf
- make and decorate orange spice cookies
Everything used in the kitchen is vegan and the class will address the specific challenges of dairy-free, egg-free vegan baking. Recipes and notes will be provided and you will also take home two six inch cakes, a loaf cake and cookies that you've baked and decorated yourself. Please note that this class uses almond, hazelnut and peanut - these can be omitted from the recipes but they are present in the kitchen.
Everything needed for the class will be provided. The cost of the class is £85 per person. Class size is up to 2 people. Sorry, this class is not suitable for under-16s. To book a place please get in touch.
