The Jesmond Cake Company is a 100% vegan cake company based in Newcastle upon Tyne. All products are egg-free and dairy-free and made in a vegan kitchen without any animal products.
The kitchen handles nuts and other allergens such as wheat and soya so, while procedures are in place to prevent cross contamination, our cakes are not suitable for people with severe allergies. Similarly, while there is no dairy or egg in the kitchen, some bought-in products such as chocolate sometimes have a "may contain" warning.
We're proud to say that we have been awarded the highest score - 5 - on the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme by Newcastle City Council.
The company has been set up by Kate Emmett. She has been enjoying cake since 1972, eschewing cruelty to animals since 1981, and has ten years of cake decorating experience.
